Calling All Veasey Weeders!

Hi everybody,

The trees and shrubs you planted are doing great, putting on leaves and starting to grow. Unfortunately, so are the weeds!!

Help us help your plants out-compete their neighbors! We’re looking for a few volunteers for an hour or two this Friday (21st) and next Friday (28th) mornings. We’ll be there 9-noon so anytime in that window would be fine. We’ll show you what are weeds and what are pollinators and other good natives we’re keeping. If you have them, we’d ask you to please bring a kneeling pad and a hand weeder. Of course, gloves, water, a hat, and sunscreen, too. 

If you’re interested, please contact me by email (cdevillafranca at gmail.com). Let me know which Friday you'd like to come and how many people may be with you. Please include your cell phone in case we need to cancel last minute. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Weeding may not be the most glamorous part of gardening but necessary. And you’ll have fun with a like-minded group of people invested in the success of the Veasey People’s Forest project!
